The Development
Prairie Trail – Ankeny
The Prairie Trail Master Plan is a New Urbanist community composed of pedestrian friendly residential neighborhoods, new mixed use Town Center and two office parks. The plan builds upon the 2005 Concept Plan, along with natural features of the site, the market studies and precedent studies of Ankeny and Iowa historic neighborhoods and town squares. The plan has three precincts: Town Center; Campus Precincts; and Residential Neighborhoods.
The Master Plan is organized into a number of individual neighborhoods within Prairie Trail, with each neighborhood featuring a range of housing types and a variety of architectural styles. Housing will vary in cost and style to accommodate a range of households.

Directions
From I-35: Take the Oralabor Road exit at Ankeny, turning west onto Oralabor Road. Travel about two miles to the intersection of State Street. Turn north onto State. Continue on State Street about 1/2 mile and enter the Prairie Trail development at SW 18th Street on the left.
From I-80: Take the 2nd Avenue exit north to Ankeny. About 1/2 mile north of the Oralabor Road intersection, enter the Prairie Trail development at SW 18th Street on the left.
