Since 1997, builders Dean Vogel and Colin King, owners of K & V Homes, have earned a reputation of creating homes their customers truly love, right down to the smallest detail.  They set a solid foundation for the business with Colin earning a degree from Iowa State University in civil engineering and Dean earning a finance degree from the University of Northern Iowa.  They built upon that foundation and have gained distinction in previous HomeShowExpos.  These include winning Best Layout/Livability, Best Overall Kitchen, and Best Landscaping in 2003 with their first HomeShowExpo house.  In 2005, they once again won Best Landscaping and also Best Master Bath.  In their most recent HomeShowExpo entry, in 2006, they won the Best in Show award, as well as Best Craftsmanship and Best Landscaping.  K&V Homes was also awarded the 2006 Builder of the Year by the Homebuilders' Association of Greater Des Moines.
